From Melissa's in-depth collegiate athletic experiences to her extensive Pilates, yoga and meditation practices, Melissa's movement and self exploration continues to evolve and enhance her life.

Melissa is committed to sharing and exploring the joy of safe, fun, and efficient movement with her family, friends and clients.  She integrates over 20 years of movement experience with her continued study with The School for Body Mind Centering ©.    Embodied Anatomy & Yoga, Somatic Education & Psychotherapy as well as Infant Movement Education are among some of the topics she has and continues to study.

From beginners to professional athletes, Melissa believes that all ages and abilities can benefit from discovering the healing and life enhancing effects of breath work (pranayama) and embodied movement.

Integrating breath and movement allows for more efficient and effective movement as well as deepening into ones sense of well being. Increasing strength and flexibility while aiding in injury prevention are a few more examples of the benefits of this type of work.

Melissa is commited to helping women honor their bodies and lovingly dive into the fascinating changes that women's bodies go through during pregnancy, labor and afterwards. She teaches pre-natal and post-natal movement classes that address the specific needs of each woman. She is currently in an apprentice program to become a trained doula.

Melissa and her husband Patrick happily welcomed their beautiful daughter Nell into the world in May 2009 and are looking forward to adding to their growing family in the near future.
